Inside all of us is a Wild Thing

Last night I went to see Harry Potter & the half blood prince for the second time - I need to calm down before I even begin to talk about it again - & I saw a trailer for "where the wild things are".
I recognised the name straight away & knew it was a famous book, although I've never read it. It was only when I came to look it up later that I found out that it's a children's picture book, with only ten sentences, which has made me even more excited about seeing the film.

I don't know if it's just because it's a story about a strange & lonely child, something that I once was, but something about the trailer stirs up all this emotion in me. I just think it's absolutely beautiful.

The Fourth Plinth

I just applied to take part in Antony Gormley's project, One & Other.
He's usually a sculptor, but he is running this project where every hour, for twentyfour hours a day, for a hundred days, a different person stands on the fourth plinth in trafalgar square, as art.
The idea is that it is a 'living monument' of the people in the UK today.

Some of the people that have been on so far have been supporting charities or important causes, but other people just go on & do silly things (: I think if I got chosen I would do origami & give them out to the people wathcing.

GRAZIA

I saw this dress in a magazine a few weeks ago & still just can't stop thinking about it. Everytime I pick up the magazine to flick through it again, which I often do, my heart just melts when I turn to the page.
It's from pretaportobello.com, which I hadn't heard of until I found this, & costs sixtyfive pounds meaning that it will not be appearing in my wardrobe any time soon ):

I really want some of these Jonnhy loves Rosie hair pins too. I'm trying to grow my hair out at the moment, & I've always thought that flowers look best in long hair (:

I think I have the same glasses as Hank Green <3

Awesome.

Shoo-be-doo-be-doo-wop-waa

The other day I had this random thought about a cartoon called Angela Anaconda that I used to watch when I was a kid. I have no idea what triggered it but I just suddenly remebered it & that I really liked it. I asked Kieran but he said he'd never heard of it.
It's about this girl called Angela Anaconda, funnily enough, who has a friend called Gina who has these awesome glasses & is chubby & always talks about food, & a friend called Johnny who's italian american & plays hockey I think? & then also there's a boy called Gordy who is skinny & geeky & has asthma. She has a girl dog called King who wears a red bandana & her dad calls her 'Angel Wings', & she's just generally pretty awesome. The whole show is about how there's this stuck up girl called Anette that pretends to be french but isn't really & Angela doesn't like her & usually manages to show her up in some way.

So Kieran & I were wathcing Ruby Gloom on one of the only kids tv channels I can get, Pop Girl, & this advert came on saying that they were gonna start playing Angela Anaconda. Obviously the first thing I did was find it on Tv guide & series link it.
I think the reason I've always loved it is because its not like your usual cartoon, it's like half cartoon & half .. they're almost black & white photos? It's awesome. (:
